Founded in 2008 in Chennai, Shiva Kala Narthanalayaa was established with the support of Smt. Sanmathi S Mowli’s family to promote South Indian classical dance. Specialising in the Vazhuvur style of Bharathanatyam, the institution has proudly participated in Guinness World Records, Asia Book of Records, and India Book of Records. Under Dr. Sanmathi S Mowli, Founder & Director, the school has nurtured talented dancers who have excelled in competitions and performances.
Training at Shiva Kala Narthanalayaa combines Bharathanatyam, Carnatic Music, Yoga, dance theory, and physical training. Through examinations, arangetrams, and stage opportunities, students develop discipline and confidence while learning the values of classical dance. The institution continues to preserve Natya Shastra and inspire younger generations through Bharathanatyam.
